Dubai Global Village

Dubai Global Village

The Global Village continues to grow as the event that gives the Dubai Shopping Festival its international essence. With more than 2.3 million confirmed visitors last year (source Gulf Marketing Research), the Global Village continues to be the "Focal Point of the Dubai Shopping Festival".

Through the exhibition of traditional art, handicrafts and national products displayed in over 30 Pavilions representing countries from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe, Al-Futtaim Investments is looking to raise Global Village 2003 to new heights. In addition, with over 60 restaurants, our visitors are presented with the opportunity to taste the many traditional dishes and delicacies from around the world. As always the giant Fun Fair will offer thrills and excitement for all the family, further promoting our event as a complete 'enjoyment' venue.
As part of our commitment to Global Village 2003, Al-Futtaim Investments has introduced a more 'permanent' feel to the site. Landscaped areas with trees, plants and even more seating, will present a more pleasing and relaxed atmosphere allowing visitors an opportunity to unwind during their stay.

Additionally, Al-Futtaim Investments has created a unique stage area, where entertainers and acts from the various pavilions will be able to promote their country's culture through music and traditional scenes.

Above all, the overall plan of the site has been further improved, taking into account the increased flow of visitors throughout the Global Village while promoting a visually stimulating environment.

Global Village 2003 will continue to promote Dubai as a leading family entertainment centre within the Middle East and beyond.
